Why Being A Sex Worker Is Important To Me by Kali Ryder

You know I got to thinking yesterday and I felt like I really wanted to share this everyone. A lot of people ask me, why are you a sex worker? And after that I’m hit with a barrage of questions like, Do you really enjoy it? Don’t you feel like you’re being used? Will you ever get a real job? What will you tell your child what you do for work?
All these questions, though posed to be an obstacle to answer are actually quite easy for me. Let’s start at the top!
Why are you a sex worker? I chose, that’s right, I chose this profession for myself. Someone else did not choose it for me. I truly enjoy sex and giving pleasure to others in sexual and sensual ways. It’s the purest and rawest form of showing someone affection. And believing that everyone is deserving of feeling that why not share that as much as possible? I view myself as your own personal Eros! I also chose this profession because it gives me the financial freedom to spend more time with my family and loved ones. And also the financial freedom to do what my heart loves to do, and that is volunteer animal rescue.
Do you really enjoy it? Of course I do! I feel blessed that I can say that I enjoy my profession. After speaking to many people over the years or seeing friends struggle with their employment I am very happy and wish that everyone could find that kind of happiness in their professions as well. I could not imagine myself going through this life in a “job” that I cringed everyday that I woke up to and had to participate in. That is similar to a self penitentiary. I would never do that to my earthly body and spiritual soul. My heart bleeds for those that feel stuck in their lives due to their employment.
Don’t you feel like you’re being used? I absolutely have never felt like I was being used! I have always had 100% control of my body and my self. I have never done anything I didn’t want to do or feel uncomfortable doing. This profession allows me the freedom, not the chains, to do with my body as I please.
Will you ever get a real job? Now this one question I always get get riot out of🤣. What really constitutes a “real job”? I put in real time, real feelings, real sweat (sometimes lol), real laughter, and get paid real money to pay my VERY real bills. So again, what makes this not a real job? I am a professional business minded woman. This is my profession that i enjoy! This is my real job! This is my career! And if it wasn’t for Daddy D and like minded individuals this would be a scary profession to be in. But with the security and safety (both physical and health) that brothels have to offer why take away all that away and put a woman at risk? This is where we are strong and empowered and built up, not torn down!
What will you tell your child what you do for work? This has been the controversial question of all time. Whether people agree with my Decision or not that’s on them. I have been in the adult entertainment and sex work profession since my daughter was shy of 3 years old. She will be 22 this January. Since she was old enough to ask she has known that I work in the adult industry. She was never shown pornography so don’t get that twisted. There is an adult way to explain to your child what you do is not meant for children to see. I felt I had a duty to let her know because I didn’t want her to find from one of her classmates or other possible outlets. There was a chance she could have walked by a newsstand with a friend or classmate and their parent and saw my face on a magazine cover. I wanted to be the one to tell her about that. Not someone else. She has always been very accepting of my career choice so much that when she became an adult she chose the same profession. I support her 110% in whatever her choices are. We have a wonderful strong relationship with one another and wouldn’t want it any other way. Out bond is one of a kind and amazing!

I really hope that this helps some people get to know me on another level. Sex workers are regular people with goals and families just like everyone else. We have kind hearts and intelligent minds.

With that, I will close. Peace to everyone and don’t forget to share a bit of love and forgiveness today. Our Earth depends on our kindness to Her and one another
